Refund Policy

The trial
Phospho has a 14-day trial with every feature enabled, and starting it costs nothing. Phospho depends on your Mac, a Philips Hue Bridge and Entertainment-capable lights, and your network, so the trial is the reliable way to find out whether it works in your setup before you pay.
One documented limitation to check during the trial: DRM-protected video, including Netflix and Disney+, returns black frames to screen capture, so the lights go dark. This is a macOS restriction and we cannot work around it (believe me, we tried).
Apple handles payments and refunds
Phospho is sold on the Mac App Store, so Apple is the seller of record. Apple takes the payment and Apple issues refunds. We cannot process an App Store refund, because the payment never passes through us. Your purchase is also governed by Apple’s Media Services Terms.
Consumers in the EU and EEA
You have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal for digital content. Apple administers that right, including how it applies once the app has been downloaded, because Apple is the seller. Nothing in this policy removes a consumer right granted by the law of your country. Where this policy and that law differ, the law applies.
Our position on refunds
Refund decisions rest with Apple, under Apple’s policy. The trial exists so that no one needs to buy without testing first, and we treat it as the way to evaluate Phospho.
If Phospho does not work for you, write to us before giving up on it. We cannot issue an App Store refund. We can look at the problem, and most reported faults come from bridge, network or lighting configuration and are fixable.
Language
If this policy is translated into another language, the translation is provided for convenience only; the English version is the authoritative text and governs in the event of any discrepancy.
How to request a refund
Request refunds from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com, or open the App Store, click your name, find the purchase and choose Report a Problem. For anything else, use the contact form.
If Apple refunds a purchase, the license for that purchase ends. See the Terms & EULA, sections 4 and 11.
